Osaka Castle Park is located in the center of Osaka, a vast park with a total area of 105.6 hectares, including 13 important cultural assets such as the Otemon gate and Sengan-yagura turret, and a castle tower that convey a rich history to the people of today. The park contains more than 3000 cherry blossom trees, and the Nishinomaru Garden, with about 300 trees mainly consisting of the Somei Yoshino variety, is particularly famous as a cherry blossom viewing spot. The Osaka Castle Nishinomaru Garden Cherry Blossom Illumination is a special night time cherry blossom viewing event. The best time to see the garden is from late March until early April.
